St Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask with Kaolin clay Review

Hey everyone! how was my lovely ladies? today's product review is gonna be all about this firming mask that I've been using this past months. Luckily my local drugstore carries or sell St Ives products, so I decided to get the St Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask with Kaolin clay since I haven't tried mask's before on my skin care regimen. The product retails for Php115.00 and the packaging comes in this squeeze tube type of bottle.

The product claims: This award-winning mask, with kaolin clay, deep cleans while visibly firming and tightening the skin.

with kaolin clay • Oil-free • Non-irritating • Dermatologist-Tested •
Non-comedogenic

What is kaolin clay? Kaolin Clay is found in virtually all powdered and dry cosmetics and most wet cosmetics. Its natural adsorbent properties makes it essential in hygiene products and is often found in soaps, scrubs, poultices, deodorants, facial powders and masks. It is the mildest of all clay's and is suitable to add to products created for people with sensitive skin. It helps stimulate circulation to the skin while gently exfoliating and cleansing it. It does not draw oils from the skin, so it can also be used on dry skin types without negative results.
Kaolin Clay is high in calcium, silica, zinc and magnesium, which are beneficial for oily, blemished skin. The clay's mildly drying and disinfectant properties help heal existing blemishes and inflammations, while preventing new ones from forming. It can also be used as a scent fixative.

Application: Use when you need an extra deep clean. Begin by cleansing face. Apply a thin and even layer to skin avoiding the eyes, lips, and hair. Once the mask is completely dry (10-15 minutes) rinse with water.

Pros
  • Creamy application
  • This mask works for me amazingly! it really does tightens my skin.
  • Minimizes the appearance of pores after just one use.
  • Non irritating (for me)
  • It dries up quickly,
  • I can really feel that it cleans deep down after I rinse my face.
  • The scent smells like toothpaste (minty scent) not disturbing anyway.
  • It decreases the amount of blackheads around my nose.
  •  a very reasonable price for this amazing product.
  • Very refreshing.
Cons
  • The tube cracks on the sides especially when it's halfway empty
  • you might experience dryness so I suggest to use a moisturizer after.
Overall
Definitely a must have skin care product especially for me who have oily skin type. I use this product once a week and i must say I will still continue to use this mask. I just hope that they will change the quality of the packaging.

August Favorites

Hey Lovelies!
September has finally arrived and I really can't believe how time pass by so fast. Since August has just ended I decided to do my first August favorites. These beauty products are the most used and what I reached out everyday the entire month.
Read more to know more! haha rhyme..

  • Starting from left to right you will see my ever favorite face moisturizer the Neutrogena Hydroboost gel with SPF 30, I really like how it moisturize my skin without the greasy heavy feeling my skin absorbs it so fast and gives me a supple skin.
  • Neutrogena Deep clean face wash with mulberry extract- been loving it since the day i bought it. It removes my make-up and dirt really well. No tingling and tighten feeling at all, leaves my skin looks bright and clean.
  • Bebeta Baby wipes- This product is actually for my baby but when I tried removing my make-up using this wipes I must say It did well than those other wipes that I tried. It doesn't burns my eyes and my skin, the scent smells like Aloe Vera, very cheap and of-course removes my make-up very well.

  • Revlon Age Defying with DNA cream make-up- Been using this foundation since I bought it last August 1 and been loving it because it's non greasy so lightweight and it doesn't gives me breakout, looks good on photos, I like the coverage plus Its easy breezy when it comes to blending.
  • Mary Kay pressed powder in Ivory- As you can see I hit pan already because obviously I used this the entire month. Sets my foundation really well gives me extra coverage and the packaging is detachable If that one counts! haha.

  • Nichido eye pencil in chestnut- my cheapest brow pencil but good quality I ever used. What I like about it? of course the shade, creamy and cheap. There I said it again cheap!
  • Kokuryu cream moist lipstick in Wild Cherry- I've been lazy doing my eye make-up at the office and I've been using this bright cherry pink lipstick to complete my look and I'd love it because i still look glam up without an effort. The shade suits  my skin tone and it doesn't dries my lips.
  • Ever Bilena blush in Honest- A coral matte blush that I've been wearing the last week of August up until now. So pigmented, stays on for 8 hours just use the right brush and blend it really well plus it's cheap.

  • Nyx Crimson Amulet palette- I traveled twice last month and I brought this with me very travel friendly and compact. a set to create a daytime and night time look.
  •  Lastly Kleancolor Nail laquer in Neon Lime if i'm not mistaken haha! I love this color on my toe nails. This nail polish comes from the candy cast mini collection that I hauled last month. A bit streaky to apply, you have to pile two coats or more to make the color really pop.
And that's it for my August Favorites I have some review's of the product i featured here on my post If you want you can check them out. Thank you for reading lovelies feel free to comment below and let's be friend's bye!

Shoe Thrifting Finds + Tips

Hey Lovelies!
Let me end this month by sharing to you my latest shoe finds from my last thrift this month plus a tip on how to clean and disinfect it.
If your'e a friend of mine in Facebook I just recently posted a status saying "I got more excited about thrifting rather than shopping at my local mall" Yes I really do! because for me thrifting is like an adventure you just go there and don't know what exciting pieces you can find plus It's cheap. I really didn't plan to get new shoes but when I saw these pairs I'm like i just have to get those.
First is this silver flats.

I really like the color of it, I can pair it with any outfit it was in size 40 which makes my feet feel really comfy and fits me perfectly though I am a size 39. A satin fabric plus in a very good condition.

The second one is this pair of black wedge ankle boots.

I really like the design especially the peep toe and the chain detailing which adds edge.

so easy to wear just slip on you feet, zip it up and your'e good to go!
So comfy to wear shorts and dresses can go with it and very stylish.

Now for the tips:
I know some of you guys don't prefer buying second hand shoes because of the skin diseases or irritation that you might get from wearing a second hand shoe. Here's my tips on how I disinfect mine before using it.
First I am using a baby wipes to remove all the dirt and dust then I'll let it dry. Then taking my Burlington BioFresh Foot and Shoe antimicrobial spray I spray it all over the shoes generously and let it dry to remove the funky odor(thirft store scent) and bacteria. I also suggest to choose the shoe which looks barely used.
you can buy this product at all SM department store.
And that's it for today's post, I hope to post a lot more this coming September see yah!

Simple Purple eye make-up using Aziza palette in Houston

I know I've been posting colorful night time make-up tutorials lately especially over the weekends, but today I'm gonna be featuring a purple eye make-up look using the Aziza palette in Houston which i feel like more appropriate on daytime (though i used bold lip color on this one lol).Anyways have you heard this brand yet? well me too haven't heard it before. I saw these palettes when we went to Duty Free Subic last summer but never paid attention because I am not familiar with it. At my last visit to Batangas for the long weekend I saw this brand on the local mall there and was surprised by how much it is cost. Wanna know how much? this palette retails for Php.99.00 only-- what? so I grabbed two Houston and Denver.
As I was browsing the internet I read few blogger's posts about this brand and was surprised that this brand was popular back in the 70's and 80's more interesting facts about this brand on http://www.luuux.com/.
And now for the tutorial.
After doing your face and eyebrow routine you may now proceed on the eyes.

  1. Start with the eye shadow primer and blend.
  2. Taking the first eye shadow on the right side of the palette dust it all over the lid.
  3. Taking the lightest purple color apply it on the crease area
  4. Gradually apply the darkest purple from the palette blend together with the first shadow that we apply on the crease.
  5. bring the darkest purple color on the lower lash-line and line your waterline.
  6. lastly apply liquid eye-liner, curl lashes and add mascara. This is optional but you can add falsies if you want to.
  7. Finish off the look with some blush and lip color here I am using a cherry colored lipstick to add color onto my face.

A really cheap eye-shadow worth trying for I know they're not as good as the quality of UD and Mac shadows but hey you got what you pay for.

Products used:

  • Mary Kay Foundation Primer
  • Revlon Age defying w/ DNA advantage cream make-up in soft beige
  • Mary Kay Concealer in Beige 2
  • Mary Kay pressed powder in ivory
  • Brows-Nichido mineral precise eye pencil in chestnut and Elf eyebrow kit
  • Elf eye shadow primer in sheer
  • Aziza palette in Houston

  • Penshoppe color hydradiance lash amplifying mascara in showgirl
  • Nyx eye pencil in Charcoal
